Quanishia (Q.) Gibson, LPC is a licensed therapist, writer, and PhD student. Her work explores the infrastructure of sustainable relationships. She is particularly interested in Black relational life, especially intimate relationships, and the inherited scripts, beliefs, and experiences that shape how Black people understand, construct, and sustain them.
She is also interested in helping emerging therapists and clinical professionals develop a more expansive understanding of Black relational life through a multi-script lens.
Quanishia is the founder and owner of WITH Therapy, an integrative mental health and wellness practice in Ohio, and serves on the board of the National Alliance of African American Mental Health Therapists, an organization she co-founded with a team of 11 Ohio-based counselors.
She received her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Toledo, her master's in counseling with a focus in Marriage, Couples, and Family from Geneva College, and is currently studying at Regis University.
She writes at Black Love School, a public platform exploring the psychology and culture of Black relationships. She enjoys being a mama, indulging in the arts, and sprinkling a little whimsy into every day.
